Do people shove you with shopping Carts?
Do people shove you with shopping Carts when you are at a store? When I am in a grocery store, some people will not watch where they are going and ram you with there cart full of groceries, then act like nothing happened and you're not even standing there.I know this probably happened to alot of you at some point in your life, but it happens to me everytime I go on a stores property.People act like I am invisable and they cant see me standing there. It is quite annoying! When shopping,I make sure I watch for people.Once, when I was shopping for food, some lady rolled down the produce isle and ran straight over my foot!ouch!she didnt even say sorry...did this ever happen to you?
Shopping Carts and kids
Have you ever been to a mall with the kid and put the kid in the shopping cart? The carts here are built with a special folding arrangement for keeping kids in when unfolded. The kids can put their legs through the openings and sit facing the parents pushing the cart holding the samehandle that the parent holds to push the cart. I think its an excellent arrangement as it allowsyou to keep both hands free and also makes sure the kids are away from the racks holding various packages on display. You dont have to pull the kids away from the racks all the time in the fear of them pulling down the whole displayed arrangement.I have also seen parents get the kids involved by handing them the packages and allowing them to place it in the cart. This was the kids feel involved and do not pester the parents much, unless ofcourse when they reach the chocolate section. What are your experiences?
Motorized carts in the food stores
My husband and I went food store tonight. We saw a women shopping with her son. She was using a motorized cart, while her son pushed a regular cart. Okay, so what we see this all the time. Right?Well here's the issue I see with this. The motorized carts are for the handicap that can't get around the store. The women we saw tonight was "Young" and so was her son (10yrs). I, at first, said wow, that is so great the her son is here helping his mother who can't get around very well. How nice. They were in front of us in line. They left with 2 bags - not much groceries. She then parked the cart took her bags and walked out. Nothing was wrong with her. Why do people do this? Why are perfectly healthy people taking away the resources that are for the handicap and people with serious disabilities? What are the people that really need them suppose to do. Suffer? Wait? Come back later? When is someone going to say something to these lazy ignorant people?
Do you buy foods from stalls/carts?
I used to enjoy buying foods from stalls in the streets of Taiwan years ago. They sell variety of goodies that looked so yummy! When I was in the Philippines I saw a stall in Manila selling turon (banana in sweet crunchy wraps). I wanted one so I asked my brother to buy one for me but he went "No, they're dirty!". Is this true? How are these stalls allowed all over the city if they are selling dirty foods? Does this have something to do with air pollution or the uncertainty of vendors' cleanliness? Probably both? But I saw some people didn't mind at all and did buy from them! I was so jealous! lolHow about you? Do you like buying foods from stalls? I used to love buying fish balls with that sweet sauce dip. Man I miss that! I guess most people in Manila prefer the mall's food court huh?
Shopping Carts In The Canal - Why Do People Do Vandalism Acts?
I was out walking the other day and looked down into one of our canals. We have many canals down here in Florida. Anyways the canal was beautiful except for one thing - someone had dumped three shopping carts down into it.[em]thumbdown[/em]I don't know why it is that people have to do acts of vandalism such as this. It is just a shame because not only does it dirty up the canal, but now a city employee will have to go down there and pull those up and out of the canal. Then there is the cost of the grocery store getting the cart back, cleaning it up and sterilizing it (because as beautiful as the canal are they are still water and have algae and all kinds of funky stuff growing in them). And then people complain about the rising cost of groceries, etc. Well, if people watched their children and made sure they were at home and being good instead of out there vandalising things then maybe prices wouldn't be so high. It just irks me to no end. That is utter disrespect for other's property and for nature too. There are animals that live in these canals. I will assure you that if I ever saw a kid or anyone dumping something or vandalising something I would take a...
Do you always return your shopping carts?
I just when shopping today and i was looking for parking,it must of been busy cause it was full but everytime there was a open space......SHOPPING CART!How f@#!ing complicated is it to return it or at least put it out of the way.I just had a discusion about what irritated you the most and someone said that was one thing that would make him mad, well now i feel you buddy!lol
People with shopping carts driving wrecklessly in the stores??????
People blocking isles and running into my basket and going too fast when they turn corners. Ok, where have manners gone to? Does shopping just eliminate manners, do they go on hold, whats the deal? Then some big huge guy just decides to walk backwards right into me lol shhheshhhhhhhhh Anyone else seeing this or having this experience?
Grocery shopping revival of the shopping carts
When we got our President's Choice booklet, they advertised not only the food, or the items that are holiday related, but also a large sized green shopping bag, a shopping carton, one that fits into your purse, and a couple that are like the old fashioned shopping carts our grandmothers and great grandmothers took along with them to the store before it became something that just little old ladies took with them because they did not drive or their eyesight was so bad or they were too poor to own a car let alone get a license. Now it seems the old fashion shopping cart as opposed to the one you have to pay a dollar for is coming back into circulation. So has anyone of you decided to go back to taking a walk and taking the shopping cart along with you to save money? Mind you if you live a distance, you still have to get the ice cream and frozen stuff delivered.
Texans start driving electric carts to save on gas money.
I just read this article & watched the small video clip they added of a family in Texas who actually uses a little eclectric cart to get around instead of using any of their cars. Aside from the fact that they are uttely cute, it also saves on gas money something all of us need to consider with the high price of gas lately. It runs on electricity. All you have to do is literally plug it in, charge it, & then off you go. Here is the link for both the article & the video clip: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121746229279198963.html?mod=yhoofront
renting carts from stores?
I know some stores that do this but not very many and some areas might be looking at doing this more and more to combat carts being taken off the property and running a danger of getting into streetsSo what does it mean, paying a quarter to use a cart while shopping, all of the Aldi's chains do this near us, and it helps keep the prices down, One city in florida is considering making it mandatory for new stores (larger) to have a way to 'rent' the carts for a quarter, because the carts taken off the lots is becoming huge problemhttp://www.wftv.com/news/16807674/detail.htmlWould you object to paying to rent a cart*you get your quarter back), if it would help keep the costs downs in the store, the thing is if stores do this they don't have to pay someone to go out and collect shopping carts.Mooch
