| Wall art for kitchen - saying/quote needed | | I want to but a saying or quote on my wall in my kitchen with vinyl letters and have looked a several websites that sell them to find one but I haven't seen any that I really like. I have a machine and vinyl sheets to make my own but I can't think of anything good either and am looking for suggestions. I want it to be fairly short, 1-5 words and simple. Something nice, insightful, or loving. Nothing crude or about weight. Also, i don't drink coffee or wine so nothing about that either. Sp far the best I've seen is "cooking is love made visible", if that helps you understand what I am looking for. Thanks to anyone who can help me! | |
| | | Removable Vinyl Wall Art | | Is there any way to cut shapes out of a vinyl material and get it to adhere to your wall, but also be removed without leaving any marks? | |

| | Has your child ever loved an article of clothing | | so much that when they outgrew it you had to do something with it because they wouldn't let you throw it out?My son outgrew a shirt that had a dragon and a warrior on it - beautiful deep blues and purples - he won't let me toss it, so as a compromise we are going to buy a frame and make it into a piece of wall art.Anyone else??Lexa | |
| | What Hangs On Your Bedroom Walls? | | And what does it say about you? I hope this doesn't get too personal. So I'll start by saying, the things that are hanging on my wall makes me sounds like a very artsy boohoo fluff kind of person. And a tad bit old fashion I might add. There's a grandfather clock (yes the hanging type), a old coca cola commercial print on a weathered wood crate, golden bronze leaves set, two candle holders with candles, painting of The Gatekeeper, painting of little children on the farm picking flowers, painting of Sonoma (done by Ex), Thomas Kinkade type painting of white picket fenced house on beach. Is oh so cozy. Oh yeah, and my electric guitar. Would you like to share? | |
| | Sell your photos as art | | This is one of the type of photos that I take to sell as wall art.
If you find the right place to set up a nice table and put out
your best on display, you will probably sell at least one photo.Keep in mind, when you first start out you should keep the price of your photos
low at first to get your customers attention. Make sure you
charge enough to cover materials and time, but not too much to scare
away your potential customers. Has anyone tried this at their local Walmart
or Gas Station?? | |
| | The Photograph 7.2: Cover Story | | 7.2Frank didn’t much care for the phone call, partners for fifteen years or not. I waited while he collected his bearings and shook off the cobwebs of sleep. “What’s up?”“You talk to Bob Quillan lately?”A groan, a stifled yawn and then the sucking of air over teeth to clear out what I always called the mouth crud, “Not this weekend, why?”“If you talk to him,” I said. “You weren’t anywhere near Piedmont Park on Friday.”“Hey,” Frank said, suddenly awake. “I was the one who came and got you. We’re partners. Bob Quillan knows better than that. Where you go, I go. It’s always been that way.”“Not this time,” I said.“Okay, I’ll bite,” I heard the rustle of thrown-back bed covering as Frank slid out of bed. “Why the sudden need to be a hero and save my sorry a$$?”“Because Bob Quillan came by my house this morning and showed me a cell phone that he found next to the body of Darius Murphy out in Piedmont Park. Mine.”“Sh*t,” Frank hissed between clenched teeth. “Not good. We left a crime scene.”“I left a crime scene. You were never there.”“Bullsh*t. I take whatever heat you have to take.”“No,” I said, navigating my way through the downtown... | |
| | What Do You Have Hanging On Your Wall(s)? | | Do you prefer artwork, photos, or other types of wall hangings?Do you have a favourite one, and if so, why? Please describe it (them) for us.Actually, I have a couple of favourites, so it was hard for me to choose. I'll mention one here. It's a print by 'Trisha Romance.' It's of a little girl sitting on an old fashioned porch in a wicker chair. She's sucking her left thumb, and her right hand is up to her face. This reminds me 'exactly' of the way my daughter used to look at that age, as she 'also' sucked her left thumb, and used to fall asleep doing this, while rubbing her right hand on her face. This was an anniversary gift from my (late) husband to me, chosen because it reminded him of our daughter too. Thanks for sharing these 'special pieces' with everyone.o the body of Darius Murphy out in Piedmont Park. Mine.”“Sh*t,” Frank hissed between clenched teeth. “Not good. We left a crime scene.”“I left a crime scene. You were never there.”“Bullsh*t. I take whatever heat you have to take.”“No,” I said, navigating my way through the downtown Atlanta surface streets, which thankfully, at this hour of the morning,... | |
| | drawing on the walls | | what do you do when your child draws on the wall. do you make them wipe it off as a punishment. my daughter just wrote on her dresser. it was difficut to explain not to do it becuase i painted that dresser for her and wrote things on it for her. like her name and other memories on it. she was proud and came running out look i wrote my name. i'm pround for her because we've been trying to work on her name but i'm mad for her writting there. i just told her not to do it again but i can't make her wash it off it will wash off my stuff.
